Wanderstanol 208 is a synthetic sandalwood alcohol with the same molecule as Bacdanol and Sandranol. It gives a soft, creamy sandalwood at a fraction of the cost of the natural oil, and it is one of the most practical building blocks for a sandalwood accord.

What it smells like

Creamy, milky sandalwood with a gentle sweetness and a faint floral nuance. Smooth and long-lasting.

How perfumers use it

Use it as the backbone of sandalwood accords, in attar-style oils, woody-oriental bases and incense notes. Blending it with other sandal materials and a little Iso E Super gives a richer, more natural sandalwood than any one material alone.

Blends well with: Iso E Super / Ambergris Ketone, Cedrol, Ambroxan, Musks, Coumarin.
