Dihydromyrcenol is the fresh, clean citrus-lavender alcohol at the heart of modern 'fresh' and masculine fragrances. It is bright, stable and inexpensive, so it is used from fine fragrance to detergents.

What it smells like

Fresh lime-citrus with a clean, lavender-like floral note and a slightly metallic, laundry-fresh edge. Strong and diffusive.

How perfumers use it

Use it to build fresh citrus tops, aromatic fougères and 'clean' accords. It pairs naturally with lavender, bergamot, Hedione and woody-ambers, and holds up well in soap and detergent bases.

Blends well with: Hedione, Iso E Super, Aldehyde C-10, Lavender, Allyl Amyl Glycolate.
