Hedione is dsm-firmenich's original methyl dihydrojasmonate, the transparent jasmine molecule that changed modern perfumery. It does not smell like a heavy jasmine flower; it smells like the air around one, and it makes almost any formula feel more open and luminous.
Soft, fresh jasmine with a citrusy, slightly green lift. Gentle on the strip but diffusive, lingering as a clean floral glow.
Hedione is one of the most used materials in perfumery, often at high levels. It lightens florals, freshens colognes and citrus, and gives woody and musky bases a floral shimmer.
Blends well with: Iso E Super, Bergamot, Galaxolide, Phenyl Ethyl Alcohol, Ambermor.
