Timbersilk is IFF's smooth woody-amber material built on OTNE, the same family of molecules as Iso E Super, in a different isomer balance. It gives a velvety, silky wood texture that feels polished and modern.
What it smells like
Smooth, velvety woody-amber with a dry, silky texture. Transparent and long-lasting.
How perfumers use it
Use it as a woody-amber backbone in the same way as Iso E Super, or blend the two for a fuller woody halo. Because it is OTNE-based it falls under the IFRA OTNE restriction, so check your category limit.
