Ambrettolide is a luxurious macrocyclic musk reminiscent of ambrette seed, the natural musk-smelling seed of hibiscus. It is rich, slightly fruity and sensual, and it gives musks and florals a noticeably more natural, expensive feel.
What it smells like
Rich, powdery musk with a fruity, pear-like softness and a warm, skin-like sensuality. Very long-lasting.
How perfumers use it
Use it to add depth and naturalness to musk accords, white florals and skin scents. It layers well with Habanolide, Galaxolide and Musk T and is valued as a premium finishing musk.
