Ambergris Ketone is OTNE, the smooth woody-amber molecule most perfumers know as Iso E Super. It is the soft, velvety cedar glow that sits under a huge number of modern fragrances. It is so subtle that some people can barely smell it, yet it makes everything around it feel bigger and smoother.
Dry, velvety cedarwood with a soft amber warmth and a faint vetiver-like edge. It is transparent rather than heavy and lasts for many hours.
Use it generously as a woody backbone: it blends into almost any accord and lifts florals, citruses and musks. Paired with Ambroxan and a musk it forms the classic woody-amber-musk skin scent. It is IFRA restricted, so check the limit for your product category, especially at the high levels this material invites.
